Babysitting...
for my friend Fiona last night...or more accurately, sitting on my butt watching her lovely flat screen tv while her low-maintenance child slept away upstairs...I was forced to sit through the agony that was the Ireland vs San Marino Euro 2008 qualifier. Switching to see how England were doing against Holland, I realised that match was no better than the Lansdowne Road fare so I surfed the channels until I found a gem of a movie called 'Red Dawn' on MGM movies.
Wallowing in nostalgia (I remember this movie from a boarding school Saturday night) I decided that when it came to a choice between mediocre soccer and watching Patrick Swayze, Jennifer Grey (pre Dirty Dancing), Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell et al. battle the Communist menace ....well it was no contest.....
