Champagne for the final!
I didn't tempt fate....after a very tough game against Cork Harlequins on Saturday we face Bray in the final of the Irish Junior Cup!
Mum and Dad came down on Saturday morning to support...apparently Dad told me that morning Mum had been bemoaning the fact that they should have travelled so when he headed for the shower, Mum asked him what he was doing and he said "I'm going to Cork!' So, abandoning the breakfast table, off they went, arriving to our hotel just as Ireland were kicking off against Scotland in the rugby.
The game itself wasn't the prettiest match we've ever played, a typical semi-final I would say, but we knew it was going to be tough and 'Quins were just as determined as we were. We've played better and been on the losing side so despite not being at our best we were delighted to get the win.
The champagne will be opened on Saturday, March 31 sometime around the 2pm mark...depending on game time :)
But for now, no time to rest on our laurels as we have to play Pembroke on Thursday in the league.....
