Pitchside proposal

April 2007: Final playoff game in Division A of Cup Winners Cup in Madrid. The game ends in disappointment for Old Alex as they lose and are relegated to Division B. The team assembles in the goalmouth for a post-game photo...suddenly the supporters are cheering and screaming as "Gillian will you marry me?" appears on the electronic scoreboard. Guy strides forward, drops to one knee and brandishes the ring....crowd go wild....Gillian says "yes"










October 2007: Dalkey, a warm, breezy October Saturday. Guy is resplendent in morning suit, Gillian is a gorgeous bride. Both are so happy and look fabulous. Speeches are timed to perfection, a Loreto-Old Alex dance off happens during the evening, the bride out-dances everyone.
